ASTRONOMY LAB MATERIAL There are 4 types of material that may be needed for a given experiment: background material, instructions, report form, and extra. Extra is material that is not yet available from this web site. This will have to be provided by instructor. Some experiments will have all four items. Some will only have combined instructions and report form. The background material does not need to be printed. The CLEA manuals are already stored on the computers in Parker 126. Instructions are now available from this web site. You should print out instructions for those labs that involve computer programs, mainly CLEA, to avoid jumping back and forth between instructions window and program window. Also print out instructions for labs that involve going outside such as Use of C8 Telescope. For this semester report forms will be provided by instructor. In some cases a last minute decision about whether to observe outside or stay inside will be made. Currently lab materials are only available in MS Word(.doc) format. They can be printed from the computer labs on the second floor of Parker Hall. They cannot be printed in the room used for astronomy lab.
