Assistant/Associate/Full Professor The Department of Physics at Auburn University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of computational/theoretical plasma physics with application to fusion. Applicants to Associate or Full Professor level may also be considered if they have a demonstrated record of outstanding accomplishment and leadership. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Post-doctoral experience in fusion research and computational physics is highly desirable. Applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful candidate will be expected to perform innovative research and attract extramural funding. Review of applications will begin 1 October 2007 and will continue until the position is filled. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment and be able to communicate effectively in English.
