5J20.20 Lamp in Parallel with Inductor

Hook light bulb(12v or120v) in a parallel with a large electromagnet and battery. Open switch to discharge coil through bulb to produce bright flash. 12v bulb will glow before switch opened. 120v bulb will not glow before switch openeed.

Safety Issues: Heavy magnet. Large current when open switch (sparks).
