5A50.30 Van de Graaff Generator

Show sparks from a Van de Graaff generator to a nearby grounded ball. Demonstrate like charges repel. Put pieces of plastic on top before turning on.

Setup Requirements: May need to run before class to dry out belt. Problem with parts under dome of larger version coming loose.

Safety Issues: High Voltage Shock. A stick is available to turn off if you want to avoid shock.
