7B10.13 Emission Spectra Plus Continuous Spectra

An emission spectrum is placed above a continuous spectrum. Gratings available for students.

Setup Requirements: Assembled as needed. Use nightlight size bulb for continous spectrum.

Equations: Relation between position of spectral lines and spacing of grating lines. 

Safety Issues: High voltage shock hazard. Fragile glass tubes get hot. You may want gloves to remove hot tube. AC line voltage present.
